Get out and enjoy this beautiful sunshine Jump in your car with some friends and make a road trip of it !!!

Take a walk down our main street, take the kids around our interactive walking track, spend some time in the kids playground, drive or walk around our bird murals or even go up to Hard Hill to have a walk & look at our mining relics.

Come visit us, stay for a meal at our cafe, Pub or hotel restaurant. Or even a lovely Devonshire tea at our museum gallery.

Visit Wedderburn Tourism to purchase some lovely local products provided by Wedderburn Community House.

Thank you to everyone who has generously donated goods to our op shop.

Due to the massive volume of donations that we have been inundated with recently - we will not be taking donations until further notice.

We are FULL FULL FULL to our rafters !!!

We simply don’t have the storage space - or the volunteers - to assist with storing & sorting donated goodies.

We appreciate your continued support during this period, providing high quality customer service & products instore.

We will re-advertise when we resume donation collections.

If anyone is interested in volunteering, please contact us at the Community House.

The first Australian opportunity shop ("op shop") was founded in Melbourne in late 1925 by philanthropist Lady Millie Tallis.
Key Milestones & History
• Origin (1925): Lady Millie Tallis opened a pop-up thrift store in an abandoned Fitzroy Cyclorama on November 19, 1925, to raise funds for St Vincent's Hospital.
• The Name: She coined the term "opportunity shop" to give second-hand shopping a dignified name, focusing on the opportunities it provided for both donors and buyers.
• Impact: The initial nine-week fundraiser featured over 10,000 items and raised more than £2,000, which helped purchase hospital beds and an X-ray machine.
