Hard Hill Tourist Reserve Community Asset Committee (CAC) and Wedderburn Tourism Inc.

- - - - - - - - -

Afternoon,

For anyone new to town or unaware, Hard Hill Tourist Reserve CAC and Wedderburn Tourism is a voluntary committee that oversees Hard Hill Tourist Reserve and a number of tourism projects.

At our AGM on 29 July 2026, we say goodbye to Karen Fazzani and Robyn Vella who have worked tirelessly for many years on all things Hard Hill and Wedderburn Tourism. These 2 ladies advised a year ago they’ll be stepping down this year and we express a very big thanks for their dedication, commitment and contributions within their associated roles.

Over the last 12 months, the existing Committee has been actively seeking a new Committee to take over. We are pleased to advise our local publican has recently put his hand up to lead and while this is great for our town, we still need to finalise a Committee (a Secretary and Treasurer in particular) to ensure we can continue running after the upcoming AGM.

*What is Hard Hill Community Asset Committee?

A voluntary committee that co-ordinates, manages and develops for community benefit, the community asset (Hard Hill Tourist Reserve) in accordance with the principles set out within the Loddon Shire Council Instrument of Delegation. The committee also oversees the Wedderburn Eucalyptus oil production.

*What is Wedderburn Tourism?

A voluntary committee that strives to make Wedderburn a more pleasant town for people to live and visit.

Our main priorities are Hard Hill Tourist Reserve, Wedderburn Eucalyptus stewpot, Minelab Wedderburn Detector Jamboree and the Wedderburn Tourism website. Going forward, we are hoping the local Community Market currently in discussions (hosted by Wedderburn Hotel) will fall within Wedderburn Tourism. And a few other projects and ideas we have in mind.

*What do we need?

You (pretty much!). We want to finalise a Committee in the lead up to our upcoming AGM in late July so we can hit the ground running in August 2026. The continuation of the widely popular Minelab Wedderburn Detector Jamboree is also dependent on a new Committee being formed by late July.

If you’re interested in a chat about joining our Committee or you’re keen to be a volunteer on existing and/or new projects we have in mind. please reach out via our page or flick a note to Craig at the pub via [email protected]

Thanks for your time reading,
Hard Hill Tourist Reserve CAC and Wedderburn Tourism Committee/s.
