We set out to create Australia’s most-loved Final Playlist, and the results speak for themselves. 🎶

More than 260 songs were submitted, spanning 245 albums and 239 artists, and we’ve been blown away by the excitement, honesty and openness behind every choice.
So, which song topped Australia’s Final Playlist?

🥁 Paul Kelly’s “Meet Me in the Middle of the Air” takes the top spot.

But the playlist is about so much more than the songs themselves.

People chose songs connected to family and friends, memories and milestones, values, humour, hope — and the way they’d like to be remembered.

One simple question has sparked hundreds of meaningful conversations about what matters most. And that’s exactly what we hoped for.

Family and friends are invited to attend a procession and a graveside service in memory of Steven.

DATE: Tuesday 25th of August 2026

TIME: 11am procession (please meet at 10:45am at Tender Funerals prior), followed by 11:30 service

LOCATION: Procession will begin at Tender Funerals Mid North Coast – 36 Production Drive, Wauchope NSW 2446, and will lead to Kendall Cemetery – Albert Street, Kendall, NSW 2439

Steven’s family has invited those who attend to wear different shades of blue.

At the the request of the family, there will be no livestream on the day.

Dying to Know Day held annually on the 8th August is fast approaching!

Dying to Know is a national campaign that has been bringing Australians together since 2013 to start conversations about death, dying and grief.

Through the campaign's theme of Nobody Knows, Australians are reminded to stop leaving their loved ones to play the world's worst guessing game.
Because if people don't share their wishes, nobody knows. 🌱
