Asian Aid Australia

Asian Aid Australia We want to help all kids reach their God-given potential. At Asian Aid, we believe in children and in empowerment.

We place the wellbeing of deserving children in in India, Nepal and Bangladesh at the core of all that we do. We empower disadvantaged children to grow strong for life in families and communities that can support them. We equip children and their communities with the skills and resources they need to break the cycle of poverty. We also believe in hope: hope in the present and in peopleโ€™s abilities

to transcend their circumstances when help is available; hope in the power of quality education, free health care, freedom from danger, strong families and communities, and ultimately hope for the future. Together with governments, churches, and implementing partners, Asian Aid is committed to being Christ-like, caring, compassionate, responsible, ethical, prudent and passionate. Asian Aid is a registered charity and a member of the Australian Council For International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct. The agency endeavours to uphold the highest standards of financial accountability, governance and integrity in all its dealings.

Meet Ripon.

At 18, he's looking at achieving something that once felt completely out of reach. After his father left, his mum didn't know where to turn; but she found her way to Asian Aid support in Bangladesh, changing everything.

"Thank you for standing by us in our time of need. I'm happy I was able to stay in school." Ripon says. He wants to pursue being a doctor for children that might be denied treatment. This EOFY, keep stories like Ripon's possible by providing hope.

"If you look up 'Quotes about hope' there is no shortage of them out there. One of my favourites is by Martin Luther: 'Everything that is done in the world is done by hope.' Jeremiah 29:11 makes it clear to me my faith allows me to have more hope than I ought to sometimes, and that is because I have seen how my God provides." - Asian Aid team member ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

We've spent 60 years helping children in need, and one of the many lessons we've learned is children cannot be helped in isolation. TOGETHER we can reach not just one child, but entire communities. This is the Hope Collective. Find out more today. https://www.asianaid.org.au/programs/program/?program=P0351

"The story about Jesus feeding the five thousand has always been one of my favourite miracle stories. But it was only after I became a mum that I thought more about the little boy in Mark's telling- whose little boy was this and who packed his lunch?" (excerpt from a blog post we'll be sharing on Mother's Day). Happy Sabbath!
