Wauchope Patchwork Quilters meet in the Rotary Youth Hall at Bain Park, Oxley Lane, Wauchope NSW on Tuesdays from 5.30pm - 9.00pm and on Thursdays from 9.00am - 1.00pm. You are more than welcome to joi

n us for a cuppa and chat to see why we cut up large pieces of fabric into smaller pieces of fabric, only to mix them up and sew them into larger pieces of fabric again. If you are daunted by the thought of making a large quilt on your own, you may wish to join us in making smaller items such as Christmas placemats for recipients of Meals on Wheels and patients in the Palliative Care unit at Wauchope Memorial Hospital, crib quilts for new-born babies in western NSW, and share in making quilts for Salam Children's Home in Bali and again, for patients in the Palliative Care unit and for others as the need arises. We have all the resources on hand you will need to get you started - even fabric! Remember, we were all beginners once and have already asked what you may consider to be 'silly' questions and have already made those mistakes that you may be dreading. Give us a go - you will love it. 0418 218 784 if you wish to make contact.

Another successful day at the Barbie Mitchell workshop.
Today hand- basting and hand-quilting was introduced and taken up with enthusiasm.
Ladies continued into the late afternoon with either their hand-quilting or needle-turned applique.

A big thanks to Anne-Maree who organised and coordinated the workshop.

A big thanks to Wauchope RSL who provided the grant for 'seed funding' for the development of members skills, via tutors and other workshops.
