To end Youth Service month, we are reflecting on Nekoda, our sponsored student who attended the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) in Jan 2026.

Nekoda is a wonderful student who attended the program in Canberra to learn more about a career in Engineering. Upon returning, he mentioned that this experience has shown him that Engineering is for him and looks forward to finishing year 12.

The NYSF program is one of the best programs in the country to highlight university life, and what having a STEM career can mean for students. Applications are now open for the Jan 2027 cohort.

Thank you to our sister clubs who helped to cover the sponsorship for Nekoda Rotary Club of Warrnambool Daybreak Rotary Club of Warrnambool East Inc. Rotary Club of Port Fairy

Some of the book donations from the local libraries and the general public have been sent to our linked rural communities in PNG to help the students there.

We love seeing these photos of the schools and students utilising these books!

We are so thankful to Rotary Down Under for publishing this story in their magazine!

A beautiful and deeply meaningful legacy for families experiencing early loss.

The Early Loss Memorial Tree in Warrnambool, Vic, created through a partnership between the Rotary Club of Warrnambool, the Warrnambool Cemetery Trust and the local community, offers a gentle place for reflection, remembrance and connection.

With personalised leaves and butterflies carrying messages of love and remembrance, this memorial ensures that no grief goes unseen and no child is ever forgotten.

A powerful example of Rotary bringing compassion, community and lasting impact together.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget.

Rotarian Brooke laid a wreath on behalf of our club this morning.
It was wonderful to see so many community groups participating.

Last night our club celebrated the opening of our 20 year old time capsule! 🎉

Current and past club members came together to share in the items that were in the parcel. It was great to hear from members who were involved in writing the documents and hearing their stories.
We look forward to the next 20+ years!
