Massive Nephrite Jade — British Columbia, Canada

This enormous Nephrite Jade boulder, often called BC Jade, comes from the rich deposits of British Columbia, Canada, one of the world’s largest sources of high-quality nephrite.

Nephrite is famous for its exceptional toughness, created by a tightly interwoven fibrous crystal structure. While its hardness is moderate (Mohs 6–6.5), it is incredibly resistant to breaking, which is why jade has been used for tools, carvings, and jewelry for thousands of years.
