On the 04.03.2026 we had the honour of celebrating a very special evening with our community, the 3rd Anniversary of the Goulburn Valley Afghan Women’s Association, alongside International Women’s Day and the blessed month of Ramadan at our Iftar gathering. 🌙✨

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the night so meaningful. A heartfelt thank you to our special guests, community leaders, supporters, and volunteers who joined us to celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women in our community.

My name is Zahra Khademi, and I am the founder of the GV Afghan Women Association Shepparton. I established the association to create a safe and inclusive space where women can connect, access education, and build confidence within their community❤️

I work as a Family Liaison Officer at a local primary School, supporting families and strengthening school, community connections. I have also participated in the Fairley Leadership Program, further developing my leadership skills to better serve and empower communities.
