Bushfire warnings and alerts can stir up a lot, especially if you’ve been through something similar before. Feeling on edge, emotional, or overwhelmed during times like this is completely understandable. You’re not alone.

If things are feeling heavy for you, or for someone you care about, support doesn’t have to be complicated or formal. Talking with a trusted friend, family member, GP, or health professional can really help.

If you’re not sure where to start, Medicare Mental Health is a good first step. You can call them on 1800 595 212, Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 5pm, to get clear advice and be connected with the right support.

And if you or someone else needs immediate support at any time, knock on Lifeline’s door. They’re available 24/7 on 13 11 14.

Stay safe everyone.
