Mullinmur Nature Play is all about taking curious minded pre-school children out into the big outdoors on big and little adventures. Our weekly explorations are set at the Mullinmur Billabong where we have a cuppa tea and a snack, share a story and do some play and crafting followed by a short bush walk. It i
s as much about taking the kids out as it is about having the parents join them. The session are held every Wednesday at 10am during the school terms and usually involves a cuppa and snack at the fire pit with some stories, arts and crafts and free play followed by a slow, child-paced walk around the billabong (usually from 11am - 12pm). Weekly sessions will be announced on this page including where to meet and park your car, and what equipment to bring. Our meeting spot is at the firepit near the education learning hub (shipping container) and parking is available nearby by following the track from the open gate on Phillipson street (look for the mullinmur nature play sign tied to the fence). Snacks, water and sturdy footwear is always important (as well as any toileting requirements as there are no toilets at the billabong). Mullinmur Nature Play is a registered Playgroup with Victoria Playgroup. To become a Member or continue to attend the weekly sessions all families need to be members of Playgroup Victoria (Free) and to link your membership to this Playgroup. If you’re not sure about signing up, you are welcome to attend 3 sessions without playgroup membership and be sure to let me know when you’ve joined up.
