🚨SANDBAGGING CHECKPOINT - NOW OPEN🚨

Due to the heavy rain over the past 24 hours and the prediction of ongoing rain our unit has a sandbag point set up at NSW SES Lake Macquarie Unit (Next to the Lake Macquarie City Council Works Depot) for members of the public to collect for property protection.

📍 Cnr Fourth Street &, Creek Reserve Rd, Boolaroo NSW 2284

🕰 Volunteers may not be on site. However, the sandbags are available 24/7 for collection along the footpath out the front of the unit.

☎️If you require sandbags for property protection but are unable to get to our unit please call 132 500 and put in a request so that we can arrange for some to be delivered to you or if the situation is life-threatening phone Tripple Zero (000) immediately.

TAKING CARE OF THOSE WHO SERVE

Newcastle Beacon brings together a network of organisations, professionals and volunteers with the common goal of supporting first responders, emergency department personnel, veterans and their families in Newcastle and the Hunter.

Navigating support services alone can be overwhelming for someone in crisis. Newcastle Beacon aims to simplify the process of getting help by identifying and breaking down barriers to accessing support.

Our mission is to strengthen our community by working together to enhance the physical, mental and social well-being of those who serve, or have served in the Australian Defence Force, Emergency Services and their families, who serve right alongside them.
