Walgett Show Society's local Judging Day is scheduled for Sunday 5 July. All are welcome to come along for a fun and educational day, with catering available. There are sections for judges eligible for the NSW Young Judges & Paraders competition, as well as for younger judges. More info to come!

The Gordon and Leonard Pavilions at the 86th Annual Walgett Show were again an impressive display of talent and colour, thanks to the significant efforts behind the scenes of Chief Pavilion Steward, Erin McGrath (with special mention for the help of daughters Ruby and Mary), the section Chief Stewards and Stewards, judges, other officials and volunteers and of course, the contributions of exhibitors across the sections, from Cut Flowers to Schoolwork. A big thank you also to major sponsor of the Pavilions this year, Batterline Earthmoving.

Congratulations to Mrs Annie Berrell, worthy recipient of the B.T. Howard Memorial Trophy (Achievers Award) for 2026, which was presented at the 86th Annual Walgett Show last weekend. Annie was nominated for both her ongoing support and work in the Pavilions and her dedication to the role of Young Woman Coordinator and bringing the competition to Walgett Show weekend.

This year's Walgett Show Society Young Woman local competition was run in conjunction with the 86th Annual Walgett Show last weekend. Walgett Show Society's Young Woman Coordinators, Annie Berrell and Emily Barton, are delighted to announce that Sophie McGrath has been selected as our new Young Woman representative. Congratulations to Sophie and to fellow candidates Charlotte and Bella. Thank you very much to judges Catriona Rowntree, Lizzy Weber and Cameron Rowntree, last year's Young Woman Ruby McGrath and to sponsors Beach&Winnie, Skin 'N' Tonic, Studio Mint and Walgett Pharmacy. Sophie will be representing Walgett Shire (our Show district) at the Zone 4 Final of of the Acciona Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition, to be held in Glenn Innes in January.

Due to the timing of the next Show they are going to this year, our valued Showmens Guild of Australasia reps have been able to keep some things open for a while. It won't be all day, but there is still time if you are quick heading out to the Showground.
