Going in to surgery? DO your due diligence - it might save your life!
From 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022, ANZASM received 9,355 notifications of deaths associated with surgery.
Note: This is just ONE audit - there are many more to be found on the College of Surgeons website (Australia). It's never front page news.
Errors in wrong diagnosis, late diagnosis, the wrong treatment or medication....actual figures hard to find - thousands and thousands.

Jessica finally received a diagnosis after going private, but by then cancer had spread and she passed away. - 20 visits to the public health system failed to diagnose!
