CADET TO STAFF

Congratulations to newly promoted 2LT(AAC) Anni Slee on her appointment as our Brigade Public Affairs Officer.

Anni’s journey within the AAC began as a CDTREC at 47 ACU, progressing through the ranks before concluding her cadet service in 2025 as the Brigade Cadet Adjutant. She has since transitioned to ACS, a pathway that strongly complements her photography studies.

Since stepping into the role, Anni has already begun making a strong impact on the Brigade page, helping showcase the outstanding achievements and activities taking place across the Brigade.

We are very excited to welcome Anni to the team and look forward to the contribution she will continue to make in this role.

If you are a former cadet who demonstrated leadership, initiative, and commitment during your time in the AAC, now is a great time to consider joining as staff. Former cadets bring invaluable experience, mentorship, and passion that help shape the next generation of young Australians.

42 BATTALION (COORONG) BIVOUAC

The recent Coorong Battalion Bivouac at the Murray Bridge Training Area was a great success, made possible by the dedication and hard work of staff in planning and delivering a valuable field experience for cadets. The activity provided an excellent opportunity for cadets to take their fundamental military skills out of the classroom and apply them in a practical environment.

Throughout the weekend, cadets demonstrated strong teamwork, resilience, and initiative as they worked together to complete activities and challenges in the field. The bivouac allowed them to build confidence, develop their skills, and gain a deeper understanding of operating in an outfield setting.

The Brigade extends its appreciation to all staff who supported the activity and ensured a safe, well-run, and engaging experience for all involved.

Congratulations to Coorong Battalion on a highly successful bivouac, and well done to all cadets for their effort, teamwork, and commitment.

We are incredibly proud of our cadets.

The dedication of 420ACU saw them support four separate community ANZAC Day services across more than 10 hours yesterday.

Your commitment, respect, and willingness to serve your community did not go unnoticed. You have done both the community and the unit proud.

Cadets, you should be proud of your efforts — we certainly are.
