Bringing local businesses together creates opportunities to share information and discuss what's happening across the region.

Yesterday, members of the @[urn:li:organization:2334796:Wagga Wagga Business Chamber] joined us at the Discovery Hub to learn more about how projects like HumeLink are helping prepare the network for growing energy needs across NSW.

Thank you to the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber for bringing local businesses together to learn more about the infrastructure supporting our region.

Seeing progress firsthand helps people better understand what's happening and they can ask questions along the way.

That's why we recently hosted Transgrid Discovery Hub HumeLink bus tours, giving community members and stakeholders an on‑the‑ground look at how the HumeLink project is being delivered.

The guided tours included visits to key viewing points or construction areas, valuable insights on project purpose, current works, and environmental and cultural considerations. A dedicated time for questions with our project team, created space for open dialogue and shared understanding.

Recently we held the Wagga screening of "Lords of the Soil" at The Discovery Hub.

Produced by Kensington House Entertainment in association with Miil Miil Productions, the 60-minute feature is set in the Riverina in the Autumn of 1866 and explores the delicate and complex relationships
between early European settlers and the Wiradjuri people, offering a moving portrayal of a shared, yet rarely seen, Australian history.

“Lords of the Soil is bringing together the very best the Riverina has to offer; its history, its landscape, and its people, to share a story with audiences around the world.” says Speer. “At the heart of this film is kindness, and the hope that humankind is still capable of such a thing. That we are both passengers and
drivers of history.”

Construction is ramping up on our Energy Training Hub at the Wagga Depot, a purpose‑built facility designed to help local workers build practical skills in a safe, hands‑on environment.

This facility will give local workers the hands-on skills and training they need to thrive in Australia's growing energy sector. From transmission tower construction to working at heights, the Hub will open real career pathways right here in regional NSW.

How construction is tracking:
• Access road earthworks complete, with asphalting coming soon
• Footing and fencing complete
• Tower adaptor installed
• Electrical work preparation underway
• Modular building installation planning underway
