Wagga parkrun #397 Run Report, 30.05.26 πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

The rain held off for us this morning for 145 participants that joined us for Wagga parkrun this week! Our first trial of shifting the start to the lade side of the track worked well, and from next week we will be trialling "seeding" the speedy runners at the start, and going through till the walkers at the back to help with congestion at the start line.

We welcomed 11 parkrun tourists visiting from places such as Shepparton, Melbourne and the UK, along with 3 people completing their very first parkrun ever welcome to the parkrun family! πŸŽ‰

3 parkrun milestones today. Congratulations to Jack Nelson on 50 parkruns, and Jorjii McDonald and Mary‑Anne Collie on 100 parkruns!

Kudos to our 18 parkrunners who achieved a PB today: Harry Wilson, Donna Swindell, Alana Beaney, Jack Buchanan, Clayton Smith, Isabella Elliott, Ben Neville, Zoe Wemyss, Katherine McCready, Teresa De Bruyn, Chloe Inskip, Erin Hinselwood, Jennie Burns, David Lucas, Stacey Newman, Jade Derks, Glenys Newton and Nicole Lawrence!

Of course, parkrun wouldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers. Massive thank you to: Heidi McGrath, Scott Hay, Jodie Hay, Emily Banks, Stewart Hassall, Lee Hyland, Michael Bieshaar, Michael Morris and Trish Hodge.

We are always looking for volunteers at our parkruns and our next few weeks are looking pretty empty! Next week we need another barcode scanner, someone on finish tokens and a marshal in order to go ahead. You can see what roles are available via our future roster: https://www.parkrun.com.au/wagga/futureroster/

See you all next parkrunday (formerly known as Saturday)!
