Three members of our Happy Stitchers group, Maureen, Di Mc and Sharyn, got busy and made good use of some donated knitted squares - sewing them into blankets which were donated to Whalers - with one already completed - 5 blankets in total! Well done I am sure those that receive these will treasure them!

A lovely story in the Fleurieu Sun, Thursday 3rd April 2025 about the impact one of our Trauma Teddies had on a little boy in need. Maureen Rault leader of the Happy Stitchers group in our branch ensures that all the teddies that get made are delivered to the hospital, police and ambulance stations for children to receive whilst getting care. Wonderful recognition of the groups dedication and commitment to helping out in the community.

Victor Harbor Branch SACWA

SA Country Women’s Association is a not-for-profit, non-party political and non-sectarian organisation, made up of volunteers who work to promote the welfare and conditions of life for women and children of all ages, whether in the city or country.

Joining a branch offers lots of opportunities to learn new skills, build friendships and give back to the community, whilst having a lot of fun together.

Members participate in a range of workshops, including craft, floral and a weekly choir, which currently sings at South Coast Nursing Homes twice a year.

Members also fundraise for the SACWA Emergency Aid Fund which provides assistance to families in need. The current State Objective is the Love, Hope and Gratitude Foundation.
