We were treated to perfect weather for Saturday’s working bee!
It was incredibly rewarding to see how much progress has been made, with most of the invasive w**ds now removed from the Inman Reserve. The area is ready for the next stage—planting more endemic species to support local birdlife, wildlife, and biodiversity.
We meet twice a month for a few hours in the morning, followed by tea, coffee, cake, and a friendly chat. If you'd like to make a positive difference to our environment, one small area at a time, we'd love to have you join us.
No experience is necessary, and all tools are provided

Tomorrow come get your hands dirty with us! 🌿
We'll be checking on our plantings and clearing invasive w**ds along the riverbank — all part of getting the area ready for winter planting.
No need to bring anything; all tools are provided. Just show up, roll up your sleeves, and help make a difference.
9.30am to 12. Stay afterward for a well-earned cup of tea or coffee, a slice of cake, and a relaxed chat with a great group of people.
Every pair of hands counts — we'd love to see you there!
Meeting point: Almond Ave (see photo below)

We had a great morning on Wednesday making a real difference in our local environment. One huge olive tree met its maker—removing the risk of it spreading seeds and crowding out our native species. And after all the hard work, we enjoyed a well-earned cuppa, cake, and a few good laughs!

After our summer break, we’re back this Wednesday, 18 February!
Over the past couple of years, we’ve made an incredible difference to this special environment. What was once an area dominated by fennel, olives, buckthorn and boxthorn has been transformed into a welcoming habitat for our native birds and wildlife.
Join us as we check on our plantings and continue removing invasive w**ds along the riverbank. All tools are provided — just bring yourself. 9:30am–12:30pm, followed by free tea, coffee, cake and a relaxed chat with like-minded people.
Come along and be part of the positive change! Meeting at Almond Ave - see photo below!

Great working bee yesterday. With the help of Trevors’ eagle eye, several box thorns, pittosporum and olives met their maker! Big thanks to Friends of Hindmarsh River Estuaryfor their ripper gift – making removing the olives so much easier! We also cleared heaps of fennel trying to creep back in and gave our plantings a good w**d – so many are thriving. A rewarding morning all round!
