What a month! 🌏🚶‍♀️

We’ve been absolutely blown away by the incredible response to Lap the Map 2025!

Together, we’ve walked, run and rolled our way across 18,600 kilometres, raising an amazing $23,600 — that’s enough to fund half an Assistance Dog! 🐶💪

This year we had:
✨ 46 teams
✨ 127 individuals

While we didn’t quite reach our overall goal, the effort across Lions Clubs, community groups, individual participants, and of course all the dogs who joined in has been nothing short of fantastic. Every kilometre and every donation helped push our mission forward, and we’re so grateful for the energy, enthusiasm and support you brought to this year’s event. 🧡

From every step, stride and wag — thank you for making Lap the Map 2025 such a success.

Don’t forget to follow our page to stay up to date with Lap the Map 2026 and all the incredible work of Lions Assistance Dogs, including our life-changing Diabetic Alert Dogs program.

See you next year for Lap the Map 2026! 🤩

P.S. it’s not too late to donate still – November might be over but we still have people with type 1 diabetes waiting for a life-changing Assistance Dog – and you can make it happen!

⏳ Its the Final weekend to Lap the Map! 🚶‍♀️🏃‍♂️🚴‍♀️

We’ve made incredible progress this November — but we’re not done yet. 💪✨

It’s the last weekend of Lap the Map, which means one more chance to get out there, log those kilometres, and help fund Diabetic Alert Dogs for Australians living with type 1 diabetes. 🐾

Every step counts. Every dollar makes a difference. Let’s finish strong, together. 🙌

🐶Dog of the Week: Alfie! 🐾

Meet Alfie, a beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who’s been lapping the map with his human this week! 🧡

Alfie loves his daily walkies - and as soon as he gets home, he heads straight into his shell pool for a well-earned cool-off! 💦🐶

This superstar duo has already exceeded both their fundraising and kilometre goals. What an incredible achievement! 🌟👏

We’re so proud of Alfie and his human for their amazing efforts in helping raise awareness and funds for Diabetic Alert Dogs. Every step (and every splash!) makes a difference. 🐾💪

🦁 Club of the Week – the Lions Club of Wyong & the Oak Tree Retirement Village - Kanwal🏅

This week, we’re excited to celebrate a fantastic community partnership between members of Lions Club of Wyong and the residents of the Oak Tree Retirement Village! 🎉

Together, they’re turnt their village into an energetic hub of movement, connection and purpose - all to support diabetes awareness, prevention and research through Lap the Map. 💛👟

Here’s what made their effort so special:

👣 Oak Tree Village transformed into a circuit walking track, inviting residents, friends and community members to get active together
💛 Gold coin donations from all walkers, along with the lunchtime BBQ, directly supported Lap the Map!
🎁 Great raffle prizes were available on the day, as well as the iconic Lions Christmas Cakes
🤝 It was the perfect event to bring a friend, walk a few laps, enjoy lunch, and support a truly important cause

We love seeing communities come together like this — and the teamwork between Wyong Lions and Oak Tree Retirement Village sets a wonderful example of spirit, generosity and connection.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for helping create healthier, happier communities. Let’s keep the momentum going in these final days! 💪😊

🐶 Dog of the Week: Monty! 🏅

Say hello to Monty, our standout Dog of the Week — and a true Lap the Map legend! 🧡

Over the weekend, Monty and his human helped raise almost $2,000 for Lions Assistance Dogs’ Diabetic Alert Dog Program. Together, they completed 13 km in recognition of the 13 Lions Assistance Dogs currently supporting people living with type 1 diabetes across Australia. 💙🐾

And the highlight? Monty even got to run 6.5 km with one of his heroes — Mimi the Diabetic Alert Dog! 🌟

Monty, we’re so proud of you — every kilometre you clock is helping raise awareness and fund life-changing Diabetic Alert Dogs for Australians who need them most. 🧡💪
