There’s another awesome four-legged legend who's joined the Lap the Map crew… meet Freddo! 💙🐶

Freddo has already started putting his paws in motion to help raise awareness and funds for the Lions Assistance Dogs Diabetic Alert Dog program. Every kilometre walked, every adventure shared and every person who gets involved helps us spread the word about the incredible difference Assistance Dogs can make.

We’re thrilled to have Freddo along for the journey, so head over, give him a follow and see what he gets up to as he Laps the Map! 🌏🐾

Lions Sheryl and Emily are Lapping the Map, and they want you to join them! 🦁👟

They're walking approximately 80km across Sydney over four days to raise awareness and funds for Lions Assistance Dogs' Diabetic Alert Dog Program, a program that receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of our Lions community and the wider public.

🥾 The walking plan:
📍 Sat 28 Nov: Bondi → Camp Cove Beach → Rose Bay
📍 Sun 29 Nov: Rose Bay → Circular Quay → Kurraba Point
📍 Mon 30 Nov: Kurraba Point → Clifton Gardens → Clontarf
📍 Tue 1 Dec: Clontarf → Manly Wharf → Manly Beach

🕜 Local Lions, join them for the Harbour Bridge walk on Sunday 29 November from 1:30pm!

You don't need to walk the whole way. Come along for a section, a few kilometres, or just to say hello. Each day is about 20km in 8–12km sections, and every location is easy to reach by public transport.

🌍🐾 Welcome to our Lap the Map Legends, Axel & Kaia! 🐾🌍

Say hello to Axel and Kaia, who've joined our Lap the Map Legends! 💙✨

These two adventurous pups are ready to get their paws moving and Lap the Map together!

Judging by this photo, they know exactly how to have fun along the way! From sandy paws and beach adventures to salty splashes, these two are showing us that lapping the map is even more fun with a friend!

1.2 Entrants must be registered participants of Lap the Map 2026.

2. How to enter
2.1 To enter, participants must register for Lap the Map 2026 by Tuesday 6 October 2026.
2.2 Registration must be completed by the closing time of 11:59PM AEST on 6 October 2026.
2.3 Only eligible registrations received during the promotional period will be considered.

3. Promotion period
3.1 The promotion opens on Wednesday 23 September
3.2 The promotion closes at 11:59PM on Wednesday 7 October 2026.

4. Prize
4.1 One eligible entrant will receive one Fitbit Charge 6.
4.2 The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
4.3 The total prize value is $247.

What exactly is Lap the Map? 🌏🐾

It's a simple idea with a BIG goal.

This November, we're coming together to collectively travel 25,760 kilometres, the distance around Australia!

You choose how you want to get moving. Walk, run, swim or find your own way to rack up the kilometres.

And while you're moving, you'll be helping raise awareness and funds for Lions Assistance Dogs' Medical Assistance Dog program.

Our Diabetic Alert Dogs are trained to support people living with type 1 diabetes -and they're provided free of charge to recipients.

So grab your family, friends, colleagues, Lions Club or your favourite four-legged training partner...
