The MacGregor family is slowly passing Urana Takeaway & Newsagency into its next chapter, with UCAN having been the understudy for the last couple of years in support of its future.

You’ll still see the same familiar faces and the same care for our community, with Michelle continuing her involvement.

Many have asked about Sue. Her dementia is progressing, and while she’s still around town, she’s less in the shop. We are so grateful for the kindness and care shown to her and our family.

Why UCAN exists — and why Urana matters

UCAN was created to respond to the real challenges facing regional towns like Urana — an ageing population, fewer services, workforce changes, and limited housing.
