We are a weekly workout group, we meet every Saturday morning at 8.30am - 9.30am at Uraidla Primary School unless otherwise indicated via this page. It was originally born out of wanting to connect with other parents of young children who want to be active. We welcome children at Sporty Mates, sometimes they make trouble, sometimes they don't, that is the way of the kid. You don't have to
be fit or experienced to participate, everything can be modified to suit your needs. You can come as regularly or irregularly as you like, you don't have to be a parent, you can bring partners or grandparents (either to participate or help with kids). The sessions are run by me, Alice. I am NOT a qualified fitness trainer, I AM an enthusiastic and experienced exerciser. I usually design workouts that incorporate a range of different things but generally consider them to be HIIT (High intensity interval training) style. Usually you don't need any equipment, a mat is usually good though! And snacks for kids if you bring them along (prepare for my son to try and steal them...). During wet or unpleasantly cold weather we use the indoor school gym.
