The verdict is in.

👏 Thank you to the more than 2000 Yarra Ranges residents who took the time to have their say on the proposed introduction of a fourth kerbside glass bin.

The results are in, and our community has made its position clear. Of those who responded, 81% were against the introduction of a separate glass-only kerbside bin, while 83% supported expanding Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme to include glass wine and spirit bottles.

These findings reflect the results of a statewide survey involving 35 councils and more than 25,000 respondents.

Council will continue advocating to the State Government for practical and cost-effective recycling solutions that deliver the best outcomes for our community and the environment.
