🐾 1 DAY OLD vs 2 WEEKS OLD! 🐾

Look how much these little babies have grown! 🥹💕

Poppy’s babies are 2 weeks old today and they are absolutely thriving. It’s incredible to look back at how tiny they were at just one day old and see how much they’ve changed already!

This week, these little cuties are becoming more aware of the world around them and starting to show off their developing personalities. 💕

At 2 weeks, we can expect to see them:

💕 Starting to explore their crate and surroundings
💕 Their ears beginning to unfold and become more upright
💕 Starting to respond to sounds, although their hearing is still developing
💕 Their eyes now open, usually appearing blue or slightly cloudy while their vision continues to develop
💕 Becoming more active and starting to wobble around on those tiny little legs 🥹🐾

They may still be tiny, but they’re growing and changing every single day. We can’t wait to see what the next couple of weeks bring! 💗

Remember our three little ginger orphans that Mumma Poppy so lovingly took under her wing? 🧡🥹

Well, two of them have officially started taking their very first adventures outside of their crate! 👀🐾

These two little troublemakers are finding their feet and gaining confidence by the day. At just 3 weeks old, they're starting to explore the world around them, wobble about on those tiny legs and even discover how to play!

Something tells us it won't be long before these two are causing absolute chaos and keeping Mumma Poppy on her toes. 😂🧡

Watching these tiny babies grow, gain confidence and discover the world for the very first time is always something so incredibly special. 🥹🐾

Maternity shoots for cats exist right??... 🤰🐱📸

Well, according to Mai they do! 😂 And she is certainly working her magic… well, as much as she can while carrying around that very impressive belly! 🥹🩷

Our beautiful girl Mai is officially ready to pop! 👀

Her foster carer is now anxiously waiting for the big moment, as this gorgeous mumma could go into labour any day now.

Until then, Mai will continue perfecting her maternity poses and soaking up all the love and attention before her little ones make their grand entrance. 🥰🐾

We can't wait to meet your babies, beautiful girl! 🩷🍼

🌸 Second day into Spring and we have welcomed another 3 orphaned neonates into care… something tells us we are in for a very busy kitten season in 2026. 🥺

These three tiny babies were found abandoned in the middle of a park, wrapped in a blanket alongside their sibling, who had unfortunately already gained their wings. 💔🌈

This is the harsh reality of not desexing your pets.

That “free” cat picked up from a giveaway, left undesexed and allowed to roam, can unfortunately result in precious little babies like these being born into a world where they are unwanted and left to suffer.

Thankfully, these little ones were found and rushed into a local vet clinic. They were cold, dehydrated and severely backed up, with days worth of poo in their tiny little bodies.

Our incredible carers jumped straight into action, carefully warming them, toileting them and getting them comfortable. They also received subcutaneous fluids to safely and quickly help rehydrate their fragile little bodies.

Thankfully, another three precious babies are now safe, warm and receiving the care they desperately need. 🥹🍼

That's 9 tiny neonates welcomed into our care in just over 24 hours.

Kitten season has only just begun… and we have a feeling 2026 is going to be a big one. 💔

Better late than never! 🧡🧡

🧡 Happy Ginger Cat Appreciation Day! 🧡

What better way to celebrate a day dedicated to our lovable ginger cats than by welcoming a tiny bundle of fresh ginger beans into care! 🥹🧡

Early this morning, we received a call asking for help with a litter of newborn kittens who had been born just hours before.

Unfortunately, their mumma is a local stray and was spooked when workers arrived for their shift, causing her to flee the area. These tiny babies had been born in the back of a dirty ute and were in critical condition.

Ranging from just 70–90 grams, these precious little ones desperately needed help. One baby still had their placenta attached, and all were cold, dirty and in need of urgent care.

One of our incredible dedicated neonatal carers immediately jumped in the car and drove 40 minutes to collect them. The babies have since been warmed up, cleaned, and given their first little bellies full of milk. 🥹🍼

They have a long road ahead of them, but they are now safe and receiving the round the clock care they desperately need. 🧡

For now, we would love to celebrate all things ginger! 🧡🐈

🎉Congratulations to all our beautiful babies adopted in August! 🎉

August was a very busy month here at Purrfect Paws Rescue, and we are so excited to share that 32 cats found their forever homes! 🥰

Thank you so much to each and every family who opened their hearts and homes to one of our rescue babies. Knowing they are now safe, loved and cherished is what makes everything we do so worthwhile. ❤️

We are incredibly proud of every single one of our gorgeous cats and kittens and can't wait to see what September has in store for us! 🐱✨

Here's to more happy endings and forever homes!🥂🐾

Who else is excited for Spring!? 🐝🌱☀️

Merlin certainly is! The beautiful sunshine over the past few days has been the perfect excuse for this handsome boy to soak up every single ray coming through the window. ☀️🪟

Safe to say, Merlin has fully embraced sunbaking season and couldn't be happier about it! 🥰💛

We can't blame him... there is nothing quite like finding the perfect warm patch of sunshine and settling in for a cosy afternoon nap. 🐾

Now all Merlin needs is a forever home with plenty of sunny windows to enjoy!

🩷 Introducing sweet little Mai 🩷

Mai was a stray who was picked up by a kind member of the public and taken into their local vet clinic. Lucky for Mai, one of our amazing volunteers happened to be on shift and immediately sprang into action! 🥰

The wonderful veterinary staff gave Mai a thorough check-over and discovered that this little lady was hiding a very special surprise...

A quick ultrasound confirmed that Mai was heavily pregnant!!

Just a kitten herself, this sweetheart has already found herself a loving foster family where she can safely relax, grow strong and prepare to welcome her babies into the world. Most importantly, Mai will be able to have her babies in the safety of her foster home instead of out in the streets somewhere.🩷

The babies all have strong little heartbeats and, thankfully, everyone is looking healthy! 🥰

🪷 Poppy Update🪷

We are so incredibly proud of sweet Poppy and the amazing job she is doing raising her 7 precious little babies. 🥹🩷

We couldn't be more in awe of this beautiful girl. Not only is Poppy raising her own 4 babies, but she has completely taken on our 3 tiny orphans as her own — and the best part is, everyone is absolutely thriving!🥰

Poppy's babies are now 11 days old and starting to hit some exciting little milestones!

Here's what we're seeing at 11 days old:

🩷 Their umbilical cords have dropped off
🩷 Their eyes are opening — some are almost completely open!
🩷 They're starting to wriggle and move around a little more
🩷 Their tiny ears are beginning to unfold
🩷 They're growing bigger and stronger every day, with some almost doubling their birth weight!

Of course, Mum is still very much needed for around-the-clock care — and caring for 7 tiny beans is definitely a full-time job! 😅

Poppy spends her days toileting her babies, cleaning them, feeding them, keeping them warm, and constantly trying to find a comfortable position while 7 little gremlins somehow manage to fight over the exact same ni**le... despite her having 8! 😂

But through it all, Poppy continues to be the most incredible mum. 🥹🩷

We are so grateful that these 3 little orphans were welcomed into her family and are able to grow up surrounded by warmth, milk and unconditional motherly love. Best of all their foster carer can now enjoy a full nights sleep 😂

Keep up the amazing work, beautiful girl. We are so proud of you, Poppy. 🪷💕
