Aunt, daughter and niece - a family team effort! 🧸✨ Launceston, Canberra & Ulvie. It’s amazing how a simple idea can span across states to bring comfort to those who need it most. Three wonderful women in one family have joined forces to create a beautiful batch of 20 “Buddy Bears," and we just had to share their story!👌
It all started when Karalyn in Ulverstone spotted a post about these adorable bears and shared it with her aunt, Fran, in Launceston. Fran loved the idea and wasted no time sourcing the perfect pattern. The team expanded to Canberra, where Fran’s daughter stepped up to source the diversely coloured wool from Aldi and mail it off to her mum.👏
From Canberra to Launceston to Ulverstone, these bears have travelled a long way before they even reached their final form! 🧶❤️
Now, these little bears are being lovingly labelled by volunteers, and our CWA CSO committee is ready to ensure they find their way into the arms of little ones who need a bit of extra comfort.
A massive thank you to this amazing trio for their time, talent, and generosity. Proof that when we work together, we can make the world a little softer, one stitch at a time!🤗
