Have your say: Help shape Tasmania’s next mental health strategy

The Department of Health is developing the next Tasmanian Mental Health Strategy and is inviting community leaders to contribute their insights, experience and perspective at a series of regional forums across the state.

Join our forum to share your views and help shape future directions for mental health in Tasmania.



Who is invited

We welcome participation from community leaders, people who play an active role in supporting, representing or advocating for their communities. This may include leaders from community organisations and neighbourhood houses, health and social service providers local councils, cultural faith‑based and multicultural groups, youth, disability, LGBTIQA+ and lived‑experience networks
education, sport and community development groups
informal community connectors and advocates


If you are someone who is interested in mental health and missed our previous community forum, you are welcome to join us too.

Have your say: Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

Consultation is now open on Central Coast Council’s draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan. This plan sets out how we will continue working towards a more inclusive and accessible community - and we want to hear from you.

There are a number of ways to get involved:

💬 Attend a drop-in session:

Penguin – 6 May (Senior Citizens Club, 2pm-7pm)
Ulverstone – 7 May (Hive, 10am-4pm)

Our AFL Tasmania school holiday football programs are now open for registration!

Open to children from Kinder to Grade 10, we offer both mixed programs and all-girls sessions:

• Mixed programs: Focused on skill development, mini matches, and the chance to play alongside kids from other clubs in a fun and supportive environment.
• All-girls programs: Designed by girls, for girls — combining skill development and match play with plenty of fun, connection, and friendship.
• Development Program: For high school age boys and girls who are ready to take their footy to the next level. Working alongside Talent League coaches to develop and refine their skills.

All sessions run from 9:00am – 3:00pm, giving parents a full day while kids stay active and engaged.
