PRIVATE REHOMING – BOSLEY, 6 YR 10 MO, TRI-COLOUR, MALE (DESEXED)
*** Rehoming Fee $250 ***

Much to his family's regret, Bosley is in need of a new home. Unfortunately, he has not adjusted well to the change in family dynamic since the arrival of his human sibling. His family feel he is not able to live the life he deserves in the current environment.

Bosley is housetrained and allowed indoors (inc to sleep at night). He is good with other dogs, though doesn't live with another dog at the moment. While he is ok being left on his own he really loves company, if someone in his new home is home a lot. It is recommended Bosley go to either an adult-only household or one without children under 10 years old. He is extremely food motivated and his determination around food requires additional understanding and management.

Read his full bio and contact his owner via our website: www.beaglerescuensw.org.au/adopt-available

Please note that as a private rehoming, Bosley is not in care with BRN and we have not assessed him. We know only what his owner has told us.

We recommend all dogs go to a new home on a trial basis, ideally for 30 days. If things don’t work out (it happens), the dog would be returned to their original owner, who would again seek to find them a new home. We recommend change‑of‑ownership forms are not submitted to council until a successful rehoming has been agreed at the end of the trial period.

PRIVATE REHOMING – BILLY, 8 YR, TAN & WHITE, MALE (DESEXED)
*** Rehoming Fee $250 ***

Billy is on the lookout for a new home through no fault of his own. Unfortunately, his elderly owner is no longer able to care for him, and much to their regret, the extended family is unable to give him a permanent home.

Billy is up to date on vaccinations & preventatives, has no known health or temperament issues. He's house trained, used to teenagers and friendly with other dogs (he had a doggy companion up until they passed away a couple of years ago).

Vale Skye 🪽🐶🐾🌈💔

In late December 2025, with the help of another rescue organisation, we collected Skye from Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter. One of our longest-serving carers was happy to foster Skye, but she needed a couple of weeks before she was available. All good though, a long-time friend of hers who used to have a beagle of her own was happy to break Skye out and look after her in the meantime.

Well, safe to say that Skye had Cherie wrapped around her little paw in no time. No need for a foster transfer, Cherie was going to care for Skye for as long as needed.

Skye had a number of potential health issues when we picked her up. She was grossly overweight and had a number of lumps that needed to be removed. First she needed to lose some weight.

Enter a Cushings diagnosis, and a number of trips for Cherie and Skye back and forth to the vet. All the while, Skye slowly and steadily lost some of her extra weight.

Cherie cared for Skye as though she had been a member of their family since a pup for nearly 8 months. However, over the last few weeks Cherie became concerned that something was wrong - Skye wasn’t herself.

Skye became very unwell last weekend and sadly, her bloodwork brought the news none of us wanted. Little Skye was very unwell. In consultation with the vets, it became clear Skye’s time was short.

Little Skye passed away at home with Cherie by her side on Monday afternoon. We are all deeply saddened by Skye’s loss, but our feelings pale compared to the loss we know Cherie is feeling.

Rest easy sweet Skye, knowing you were deeply loved by Cherie. We will be forever grateful to Cherie for the love and care she showed Skye. Know that the entire BRN family is thinking of you.
