Hey Everyone!

The UTS Investment Society are formally extending a warm welcome to all students and current members of our society to join us at our upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the selection of our 2022 Executive Committee on the 26th of November at 6pm via Zoom.

Importantly, in this AGM you will have the opportunity to:

- 2022 EXEC APPLICATIONS -
We are looking for students who have a passion in the field of investment or finance, that can help society members engage in events that will better develop their understanding of investments and the career of investment. You don’t have to be studying business, but a passion for producing high-quality events to equip, empower and excite the next generation of investors is a must!

POSITIONS AVAILABLE -

- APPLICATION PROCESS -
To apply for a position, please complete the attached survey and prepare a short 3 minute speech detailing why you think you are the most suitable candidate for your chosen role.

You will present this speech at the AGM on the 26th of November at 6pm, along with other candidates, and a vote will take place shortly after to determine who gets the role. The zoom link for the AGM will be released on the 25th of November.

🎉 Well here at UTS Investment Society, in collaboration with UTS Banking & Finance Society and UTS Beta Alpha Psi, we bring to you the 'Stock Pitch Case Crack Competition'!

💼 We invite ALL competitors from newbies to well-seasoned investors, to critically challenge your analytical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in our 3-day case crack on the theme of ‘ESG Investing and Analysis’.

📈 In this competition, you will receive a prepared stock brief with 3 ESG stock options where we want you to advise a panel of judges on either a ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ recommendation.

👩🏻‍💻 We want to see you show off your creative and ambitious ideas, in a 5-minute, 10-slide presentation.

🧑🏽‍💻 It’s also an ultimate resume addition to impress any interviewer!!

Please note that the registration closes 23rd of September at 5pm!

🌱 This competition is open to ALL students from ALL disciplines! We highly recommend all students to register and give this case competition a go even if it’s your first, as you will be able to gain crucial presentation skills and case competition experience through this mini case crack.

Teams of 2-4 students will be given a stock brief and are expected to come up with a buy or sell recommendation within 3 days.

🤝 RULES: Can sign up individually or as a team. All teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. Team members can come from any faculty but all team members must be from UTS.
