This weekend, Ulladulla Water Ski Club is pleased to welcome the Classic Australian Wooden Power Boating Association (CAWPBA) to Kings Point.
CAWPBA is a group dedicated to the restoration and preservation of classic timber power boats, many of which have a racing history from years gone by. Their boats include Skiffs, Runabouts and Hydroplanes, all beautifully maintained and built with a real appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
They’re not coming to race — just to get out on the water, enjoy their boats, and have a bit of fun.
They’ll be at Kings Point from around 9:00am on Saturday morning, with a few likely staying on for another run on Sunday as well.
If you’re local, chances are you’ll hear them — so why not come down, have a look, and take an interest in what they do? It’s a great chance to see something a little different on the water and support a passionate community keeping these classic boats alive.
Ulladulla Water Ski Club is looking forward to having them at Kings Point and hopes a few locals come by to check it out.
