✨ What an incredible experience on Country at the stunning Capertee National Park and World Heritage Area.

The Murramarang Aboriginal Stewards recently travelled west to take part in a cultural camp hosted by Bathurst Local Aboriginal Land Council, Lyds Goolagong - Adams, Greg Ingram and Central Tablelands Local Land Services

The camp gave us the opportunity to deepen our cultural knowledge through hands-on learning, from crafting bun.gali (coolamons) and making bush medicines to spending valuable time with Elders and knowledge holders.

We are incredibly grateful to Bathurst LALC for welcoming us onto Country, sharing cultural practices and knowledge, and providing such generous hospitality. The food was exceptional, but the learning and connections made were even better.

Thank you for an unforgettable experience. 🖤💛❤️

The Murramarang Rangers, Elders and community had a great couple of days on Country at Narrawallee, using fire as a tool to care for Country the way mob have done for thousands of years.

This cultural burn is part of research led by Aboriginal fire practitioners and knowledge holders, working alongside universities and government. We’re watching how important plants change over time – how they grow back, seed, flower, and respond to fire.
