The Tyalgum District Community Association invites all residents to our June General Meeting this Wednesday 17 June at 6.00pm at the Tyalgum Hall.

It’s a great opportunity to hear the latest updates on what’s happening around our village, share your ideas, raise community matters and be part of shaping Tyalgum’s future.

Whether you’re a long-time local or new to the district, we’d love to see you there. The more voices around the table, the stronger our community becomes.

🍰💛 Thank You, Tyalgum! 💛🍰

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the TDCA Cake Stall during today's Tyalgum Village Market.

Our wonderful volunteers once again put together a fantastic selection of homemade cakes, slices, cupcakes and savoury treats, and it was lovely to see people stopping for a chat and enjoying a taste of some home baking.

Congratulations to all of our raffle winners, and thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and supported the stall. Every contribution helps the TDCA continue its work for the benefit of our community.

Special thanks to our fabulous cake stall team for their time, effort and baking talents. These events don't happen without the dedication of volunteers willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute.

We look forward to doing it all again at the next Tyalgum Village Market on Saturday 27 June.

Thank you for supporting local and helping keep our community spirit alive. 💛🌿

🍰✨ Cake Stall This Saturday – Market Day in Tyalgum! ✨🍰

As part of this month’s Tyalgum Village Market Day, the TDCA Cake Stall will once again be setting up on the beautiful Post Office front porch 💛

Come along for a delicious range of homemade cakes, slices, cupcakes and savoury treats — all lovingly made by our wonderful local volunteers.

🎟 There’ll also be raffles with some fantastic local prizes up for grabs!

☕ Bring your coffee or tea, grab a sweet treat, and enjoy a relaxed catch-up in the heart of the village.

🍰💛 A Beautiful Cake Stall at Yesterday’s Market 💛🍰

A big thank you to our two wonderful volunteers Annette and Yvonne, who created such a magnificent spread on the Post Office steps at yesterday’s Tyalgum Village Market.

From cupcakes and slices to scones and cakes — everything was made with care and generosity, and it truly looked the part.

These stalls are a lovely part of our village life, bringing people together and supporting the work of the TDCA.

We’d love to see even more of the community pop by next time — whether it’s for a treat, a chat, or to support the raffles and local efforts behind it all 💛

🍓 They’ll be back at the next Tyalgum Village Market on Saturday 30th May — we’d love to see you there.

This Sunday is Tyalgum Village Market Day, and our much-loved TDCA Cake Stall will be there too 💛

Come and enjoy a delicious selection of homemade cakes and treats, baked with love by our local community.

🛍️ Have Your Say – Community Markets Policy Update 🛍️

Tweed Shire Council is updating its Community Markets on Public Land Policy and is inviting feedback from market operators, local businesses and residents.

Key proposed changes include:
• Some markets may no longer require a Development Application
• Introduction of site-specific conditions for markets
• A move to a percentage-based fee structure (instead of flat fees)
• Updates to improve clarity and consistency
