Based on our calculations… your air con is due for a service. 👀

If it’s been a while, a service can help keep your system running efficiently, catch small issues early and make sure it’s ready before the warmer weather really kicks in.

Think of it as a little maintenance now to avoid a much bigger headache later.

Need yours checked? CoreTemp can help.

Most people hear “VEU rebate” and think heating upgrades - but eligible air conditioning upgrades may qualify too.

If you’re replacing an older system or moving to a more efficient reverse-cycle setup, a VEU rebate may help reduce the upfront cost, depending on your home, system and installation.

Not sure what applies to you? CoreTemp can help you understand your options and whether your upgrade may be eligible.

Thinking about upgrading your air con? Ask CoreTemp before you decide.

Why does my air con smell like vinegar?

If your air conditioner has a sour, vinegar-like smell when you turn it on, it can be a sign that something inside the system needs attention.

Common causes can include a build-up of dust and moisture inside the unit, dirty air filters, drainage issues or mould and bacteria developing in areas where condensation collects.

A few things you can do:
Check and clean your air con filter
Pay attention to any unusual smells, noises or reduced airflow
Avoid masking the smell with sprays or fragrances
Arrange an air conditioning service if the issue continues

Ignoring unusual smells can sometimes allow the underlying problem to get worse, so it’s worth getting your system checked early.

If in doubt, CoreTemp can take a look.

From gas ducted heating to a more efficient all-electric setup.

For this Rowville home, the goal was to replace the existing gas ducted heating system with a Daikin reverse-cycle ducted system that could provide both heating and cooling, while still working with the home’s existing layout and zoning.

The upgrade included reconfigured ducting, an additional outlet, integrated zone control and removal of the old gas system. The proposal also included a $6,500 VEU rebate, helping reduce the homeowner’s quoted cost under the Daikin Zone Control option.

A good upgrade isn’t just about replacing a unit. It’s about making sure the whole system works better for the home.

Thinking about upgrading yours? CoreTemp can help you understand what options may suit your home and whether a VEU rebate could apply.
