The Ruby-Rose Rainbow Fund is dedicated to support research to develop less harmful and more effective treatments for paediatric cancer, in particular AML

The Ruby-Rose Rainbow Fund was created in honour of Ruby-Rose Ford. Ruby-Rose passed away at the age of nearly 3 years old on 12 December 2015 from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). The Foundation is dedicated to help fund research to find more effective and less harmful treatments for childhood leukaemia. Ruby-Rose was diagnosed with AML at 18 months old. She then spent the next six months at The R

oyal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment. She went home and 6 weeks later relapsed. With a further two rounds of chemotherapy, Ruby-Rose relapsed again and went straight into Bone Marrow Transplant. Two months post-transplant, Ruby underwent Total Body Electron Beam Radiation, the first of its kind performed on a toddler in Australia. Ruby-Rose came home from hospital but after a total of 17 months fighting her leukaemia, she relapsed again and sadly lost her battle with cancer. In memory of Ruby-Rose, her family has joined with the Children's Cancer Foundation to raise funds in support of children with cancer. In particular, the fundraising is to support clinical research and trials investigating targeted therapies for childhood leukaemia that are more natural and gentler treatments. The hope is to find other solutions compared with the conventional harsh treatment of chemotherapy and radiation that are being administered to our children with cancer today. All funds raised by the Ruby-Rose Rainbow Fund are held in trust by the Children's Cancer Foundation and will be distributed in consultation with Ruby-Rose's family. The family wanted to team up with the Children's Cancer Foundation as they are an established and recognised charity who's main purpose is to raise funds for research into better and gentler treatment for children with cancer. Ruby-Rose's parent also wanted to join with the Children's Cancer Foundation as it was founded by parents of kids with cancer who have a great insight into the treatments and what their children go through.

A tribute to our daughter Ruby-Rose on her 10th anniversary.
Not a day goes by that we don't think about, talk to and miss our beautiful daughter. You have affected people near and far. The Ruby-Rose Rainbow Fund is in your honour and you have brought together the very best in people helping to raise funds for kids with cancer. There are no words for the hole that's been left in our hearts, but we will say it with this poem. Love you Ruby-Rose 🌹💖

ANGEL IN THE SKY
When I look up at the sky
I see a pair of wings go by.
It's not a bird, but an angel I see
Through the clouds, she smiles at me.
My arms long to hold her next to me.
But this is a dream that can never be.
She waves and continues on her way
So it is without her that I must face each day.

Hi Everyone,
Ruby's Rock Night ROCKED!!!! We have raised our highest ever total of $33,829!!! A BIG THANK YOU to EVERYONE who attended, donated, helped to make this years event so successful. Thank you to QuizzaMe, Urban Groove - Band , Patterson River Golf Club - you guys rock!! Everyones contribution in fighting kids cancer is very much appreciated.

We are really looking forward to Saturday night - Ruby's Rock Night 2025!

We are gearing up for a great night at Ruby's Rock Night in just over a week.
There will be music and dancing as we are entertained by Urban Groove band and a lot of laughs along the way with QuizzaMe as we find out the rock stars for the evening! There will be plenty of games and prizes and this great package is one of them!
