Finally …. Someone gets it, a tiny bit of relief for service providers and a bit of hope for clients to help remain living at home and staying connected…. Hopefully additional funds will be offered so waiting lists and the endless phone calls of help can be supported better

Relief for 830,000 older Australians: The government has officially delayed plans to merge the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) into Support at Home.

Health Minister Mark Butler confirmed the merger would be delayed until June 2029, after widespread concerns from providers, advocates and older people.

Advocates have welcomed the pause, calling it a sensible decision while the new Support at Home program continues to face issues with delays and reduced service.

Canowindra’ vision and legacy lives on. I was lucky enough to start work with Canowindra when Jacintha was just 8 weeks old, Jacintha has been with Canowindra for 12 months and now back from maternity leave with Baby Kalani just 12 weeks old …. Three generations and now we have our second little Miss Canowindra … welcome back Jacintha and welcome Kalani Jae to the Canowindra family
