One person's scrap became a gift made with love. 💚

Edward transformed a discarded stainless-steel tank, wire mesh, scrap timber and salvaged fittings into Sandfly 121 - a one-of-a-kind sculptural letterbox created for his daughter.

It's a reminder that reuse isn't just about saving materials from landfill. Sometimes it's about turning forgotten items into something meaningful, personal and built to last.

Last week’s incredibly beautiful piece of pewter turned out to be a Royal Selangor pewter w**e funnel, with a decorative design inspired by Gothic or floral tracery in an Art Nouveau style.

What a beautiful piece to uncover! 👏

Now for this week’s mystery... and this one has us completely stumped 🤔

With all those dials, gauges, switches and instruments, it certainly looks like it once had a very specific job to do.

Carley spotted this buffet at Reviva and gave it a fresh new look. After a little work and a coat of paint, she completed the makeover using k***s rescued from another piece.

From forgotten to fierce. ✨

Steph turned unwanted CDs and DVDs into this striking tiger mosaic, giving old materials a whole new life on a scrap piece of plasterboard.

It's the kind of creativity that shows there's value hiding in things many people would throw away.

Reuse that is clever, practical and beautiful in the garden. 🌻

Mark combined an old bike with an old manual push mower to create a handy mower for narrow spaces between the sunflowers on his farm.

It saves two items from going to waste, makes mowing more environmentally friendly and, as Mark says, it is great exercise too.

And when it is not in use? It makes a pretty great garden ornament.
