It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of one of the Tumut Rodeo Club's most respected and dedicated members, Hilary.

Hilary became involved with the Tumut Rodeo Club in the mid-1970s and devoted decades of service to the club and the rodeo community. He served as President from 1991 until 2007, leading the club through significant milestones, including the merger of the Tumut and San Quentin Rodeo Clubs in 1995.

Hilary was a true leader. He earned the respect of everyone around him through his quiet determination, strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to the club. He had a remarkable ability to get things done, whether that meant rolling up his sleeves himself or inspiring others to lend a hand. His leadership helped shape the Tumut Rodeo Club into the organisation it is today.

Hilary's contribution extended far beyond the title of President. He gave countless hours to ensuring the success of our rodeos and campdrafts, working tirelessly for the benefit of the club, its members and the wider community. His legacy will continue to be seen in the club he helped build and strengthen over so many years.

On behalf of everyone at the Tumut Rodeo Club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Hilary's family and friends during this difficult time. We are incredibly grateful for his years of service, friendship and dedication.

Rest easy, Hilary. Your contribution to our club, our sport and our community will never be forgotten.

🎉 Look at our new canteen extension! 🎉

We are excited to share the progress at Tumut Rodeo Club and showcase our fantastic new canteen extension. This project will provide additional space and create a more comfortable area for our volunteers, competitors and community members to enjoy during our events.

A huge thank you goes to Bendigo Bank Community Grants for supporting this project and helping make it possible. We are incredibly grateful for their investment in local community organisations and the positive impact this funding has on clubs like ours.

We can’t wait to see everyone making use of the new space at future events!

This weekend we traded the Tumut Rodeo for the Marrar Campdraft!

We entered a Tumut Rodeo Club committee team in the Committee Campdraft and came out on top! 🏆

The winning team was President Gus Malone, Bernie Smith, Tom Denson and Joe Beddie. 👏🏼

A big congratulations to the Marrar Campdraft Committee for putting on such a great show. We’re sure another amazing day will unfold tomorrow.

Today was also Do It For Dolly Day, with part proceeds from this action packed event going towards the Do It For Dolly Foundation. 💙

Well done to everyone involved, and thanks Marrar, we love coming every year!
