Forever Friends Animal Rescue (FFAR) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of homeless animals. Due to FFAR's rapid expansion a new division has been created in Latrobe, Gippsland. We save pets of good temperament from death-row in pounds and shelters, and place them in loving foster homes. Next, we list our rescue dogs and cats on PetRescue.com.au where you can ‘meet’ them online and contact us about those you are interested in. We then have a short phone interview to make sure the pet sounds like a good match for your lifestyle, and then arrange a meet and greet. If you adopt a FFAR pet, you have the benefit of a four-week trial to ensure your new family member fits in well. Also, our behaviourist assists with any settling-in issues you may have, free of charge. FFAR guarantees we will always take back one of our rescue pets if you become unable to care for them. We are committed to the care of each FFAR pet for the remainder of their life. If you would like to make a donations towards the rescue and rehoming of unwanted animals, donations can be made to:

Meet Livvi, a pocket-sized English Staffy with a BIG personality, a whole lot of love to give & absolutely no concept of personal space! 😂❤️

This little sweetheart is all about having fun, making friends & being involved in absolutely everything! Whether she's hanging out with her doggy mates, tagging along with her humans or enthusiastically greeting her favourite people (sometimes with all four paws off the ground!), Livvi makes sure she's never missing out on the action.

She's a social little butterfly, getting along beautifully with dogs of all shapes & sizes, from playful pups to the bigger dogs. And when it comes to her humans? Well, personal space is overrated anyway! 🥰

Livvi's also got some pretty impressive skills up her sleeve! Her sit & recall are both 💯, she walks nicely on a lead, travels well in the car & sleeps like an absolute angel in her crate all night.

Having never lived indoors before coming into care, Livvi is still getting the hang of her toilet manners & will need a family happy to continue helping her learn. She can also get a little bouncy when excited, but a quick reminder usually brings those paws back to earth!

Livvi hasn't been tested with cats, so feline friendships are still a mystery.
Fun, affectionate & full of Staffy charm, Livvi is ready to find a family who'll love her playful personality just as much as her snuggly side. 💕

Gunnar is a young boy who’s been let down not once, but twice by humans. Through no fault of his own, he was returned to the pound less than a year after being adopted. He certainly deserves better than that.

Since leaving our care the first time, Gunnar sadly received little to no ongoing training. He still remembers sit from his puppy days, but the rest will need to be refreshed - & the good news? He’s already showing improvement since being back with us.

Gunnar is an energetic lad who loves to play & absolutely adores his walks. He can pull on the lead, so continued lead training will be important, & while his recall was non-existent on return, it’s steadily improving with consistency & structure. He’ll also need some help getting back into good toilet habits.

This boy will thrive with someone who understands that training isn’t a flaw - it’s an opportunity. With patience, routine & commitment, Gunnar has all the potential to become a fantastic companion.

Gunnar is looking for a home that won’t give up on him again & one that’s ready to invest time, guidance & love, & show him what stability really means.

At 1 yr old, Rezzy is the perfect mix of playful, affectionate & eager to learn. She has all the fun of a young dog, with some fantastic foundations already in place.

This clever girl has great house manners, is house trained, crate trained & happily sleeps through the night like an angel. She already knows “sit,” has great recall & walks beautifully on lead, making her a wonderful companion for everyday adventures.

Rezzy absolutely loves to play & approaches life with enthusiasm. Whether it’s zooming around the yard, exploring somewhere new or spending time with her people, she’s happiest when she’s included in the fun.

She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you. Give her a couple of seconds & you’ll have a loyal shadow by your side. Once she trusts you, her sweet, affectionate personality shines through & she’ll happily soak up all the love you have to give.

Now that her days of raising kittens are behind her, it's finally Rose's turn to be someone's baby! 💕

Rose is an absolute sweetheart with a HUGE heart & plenty of affection to give. Once she's found her special person, she'll happily soak up all the pats, snuggle up beside them & even sneak under the blankets for a cuddle! 🥰

Don't let her cuddly side fool you, though – Rose loves a good play session! Once she's comfortable, the toys come out & so does her playful personality.

Rose can be a little shy in new surroundings, so she's looking for a patient, understanding family who'll give her the time & space to find her feet. Once she feels safe, her affectionate little personality really begins to shine.

She appears to get along well with other cats but would be happiest in a dog-free home where she can settle in at her own pace.

After giving so much love to her kittens, Rose is ready for a forever home where all that love can be showered right back on her. 🖤🐾
