GPAR is a small scale rescue group dedicated to helping animals in need and finding them forever homes. Working with close friends and the public, animals are fostered into peoples homes and rehabilitated to be ready for adoption as well as being vet worked (desex, microchipped and vaccinated). We have a screening and adoption process for all potential adopters. At anyone time we may have a variet

y of animals up for adoption, from kittens and cats to guinea pigs. Adoption fees vary depending on the specific animal. The fees go towards covering part of the costs indured in getting them ready for their new home (vet work etc). GPAR is privately/personally funded. Although if you would like to make a donation of items or money it will be gratefully accepted and appreciated by us all. If you would like to make a money donation, please contact us. Item donations may include:
-Kitten dry and wet food (anything but 'homebrand')
-Kitten toys
-Animal beds/bedding
-Pet playpens
-Animal Bowls
-Cat litter

The name 'Grounded Paws' has meaning behind it. Many people say when people find themselves in a good situation "you've found your feet!" and in an animal sense it's "they've landed on their paws". Grounded paws goes onto say that the animals in our care have landed on their paws and they will forever stay grounded. Whether or not their homes work out, they will always be safe with us. Contact:

As a 100% volunteer run charity with no government funding, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to continue rescuing cats on death row from Victorian pounds and giving them a second chance at life.

Every dollar helps us provide food, veterinary care, safety, and love to cats who need it most.

Love cats? Don’t mind a million kitty litters? Not scared of a bit of sweat and hard work? We’re looking for some amazing humans to help with our kitty cleaning team on our closed days!

😻 Currently Needing : Sunday & Monday
😻 Approx. 2 hour shift (could be shorter)
😻 Can be once a week/fortnight/month
😻 You’ll be paired with a team mate
😻 Kitty kisses included free of charge
😻 Old clothes recommended
😻 Music on, good vibes, rescue babies

This is such an important role behind the scenes and helps keep our cats happy, healthy, and comfy while they wait for their forever homes.

A huge thank you to the amazing volunteers who gave up their time to run our stall, the many future volunteers who stopped by for a chat, and everyone who enjoyed our kitty themed freebies.

Thank you also to easyaz_123 for printing our flyers and beautiful sign, and to the Latrobe City Council for putting together such a fun and important community event.

We loved meeting so many passionate animal lovers throughout the day!
