Rotary D9815 MUNA 2024 was held at Lyndale Secondary College on Saturday 17 August. Fifty-six delegates, representing twenty-eight UN-member countries debated four resolutions.
Topics ranged from the situation in the South China Sea, strengthening the role of the UN and democracy, preventing and combatting crimes against the environment, and the state of global food security.
A wonderful day made possible by many! Thanks to the MUNA committee, Rotaractors, teachers, Rotarians and of course, the delegates.

Special acknowledgement of the Rotary Club of Forest Hill (now closed) for their generous donation towards all of the prizes awarded. Special thanks also to Rotary Club Of Inverloch and Rotary Club of Korumburra for their donations as well.

Guest speaker, Gabrielle Williams MP for Dandenong, spoke of her experience of MUNA as the delegate for Indonesia and the positive impact it had on her as a young person. With her young son on her hip, Gabrielle spoke of her passion to improve the lives of all in her electorate. Through having first-class educational facilities (such as Lyndale Secondary College), and educational pathways that connect to secure employment opportunities, youth will have a brighter future. A wonderful presentation that was well-received by all present.
