Wonderful 2 nights in Malimea with Manuel and Mingas visiting our girls at Atsabe Tech, the medical centre to see our donations from Rotary in use and the Malimea Primary School.

Later this month 3 members of ATL will be visiting Timor Leste.

They will be checking on the girls, (57 at high school with scholarships this year 134 since the start of the program),visiting the Atsabe Clinic and, of course, Malimea.
We will be preparing another shipment of medical equipment to Atsabe following the visit which will be an opportunity to assess the specific needs of the clinic.
A further meeting following on from virtual consultations earlier this year has been scheduled in Dili with a leading legal firm about structural arrangements of our local representation during the visit.
Special meeting with the university girls will also take place in Dili.

Reports on the visit (with photos) will be posted in the coming weeks.

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the death of Pat Walsh after a short illnes. Pat was a wonderful humanitarian, human rights and social justice advocate, former head of the Post-CAVR, author and family man. He supported Melanie with her thesis and generously met with Tony and Melanie in Dili on subsequent visits.

Our deepest condolences go to his family, Annie and the girls.

Medical equipment arrives safely at Atsabe Clinic. Thanks to all who facilitated the beginning of this project including ATL volunteer equipment packers, Central Traralgon Rotary Club, Rotary DIK and Rotary Dili. Further shipments are being planned currently
