Hi Everyone,

Our Duke of Edinburgh program is well underway!
For those that have already registered that is amazing! Thank you! For those that haven’t and still want to please jump on and register. All cadets that attended on the 26th of July should have been given an information sheet on how to register. If you do not have that sheet, please let us know at next home training so we can provide you with an information on how Duke of Edinburgh works and how to register.

For those already registered please keep an eye out for any updates on your online record book as I will be jumping on throughout this week to have a look at everyone’s goals and helping out anywhere I can!

All Aboard! 🛳️

On Sunday the 2nd of August, our cadets were given the unique opportunity to explore both the HMAS Canberra and the Australian Army’s landing craft. Cadets began the day at the Ross Island Barracks where they were given a tour of the base and its capabilities. They were introduced to a wide range of water vehicles and were given a tour of the Ross River inside the landing craft.

Cadets were then given the chance to explore the HMAS Canberra as it was docked at the Townsville port. The cadets got a limited tour of the behind the scenes workings and operations of the ship and the crews daily life. Cadets explored through multiple levels of the ship including both the heavy and light vehicle deck, the flight deck, medical ward and the crews mess. Cadets were extremely enthused by the chance to speak to many of the crew and are already buzzing at future opportunities.
