Tomorrow at ADRA Community Pantry Townsville we have an abundance of produce like we’ve never had before.

We’re also excited for Dr Enoma to join our program, offering free Health Checks.

Our wonderful charitable partner, Thread Together, will also be coming along, offering new clothes, etc.

The pantry is open from 7-10.30am & clients can register at the door with a Concession or Health Care Card.

The Pantry is run by ADRA.. Adventist Development & Relief Agency Australia and is Townsville’s biggest not-for-profiit charitable organisation, helping our communities most vulnerable member’s.

We operate every Friday from 7am-10.30am
127 Francis Street
West End
QLD

Our service is available to all concession card holders who can register with their card on the day, to Donate $10 for 3 bags of food or $20 for 6 bags.

If anyone has difficulty paying we can provide 1 free bag. You can also call Saint Vincent de Paul for emergency food vouchers & other support services on 1800846643 Mon-Fri 8am-4pm.

The Pantry has a variety of fruit, vegetables, bread, frozen meals, etc that are rescue food supplied by our wonderful Charitable Partner’s & Sponsor’s including:

We are also very grateful to many community members who donate clothes, household goods & other random staple foods & produce. Drop off’s can be made Thursday’s 12-4pm or call me for other times.

Currently we are looking for a few more Volunteers for our Op Shop, Driver’s & Food Handling. There is no requirement to be religious.. you just need to want to help people who really need it & hold a Blue Card or be able to pass a Fit2Work application.. if interested please call 0401945937.

Hello Everyone 🙂

We had a really great time yesterday morning at the ADRA Community Pantry Townsville.

There were a lot of people coming through and each with a different story to tell. We really enjoy listening and having a chat because we never know what someone is going through and having that conversation could make someone's day.

We had Hair Aid doing heaps of haircuts and Thread Together giving away clothing and shoes. Both charities love being there and helping the local community.

Overall it was a really busy morning and we are really thankful to be able to do this.

We are proud to have made a difference even if it’s just for the next few days.

We’re all excited to bring the community together once again with the essential support services all in one place.

Free Haircuts with Hair Aid
Hair Aid’s volunteer hairdressers will be offering free professional haircuts, no appointment needed. Hair Aid exists to help people in need feel confident, valued, and respected. A simple haircut can boost self esteem and help people feel ready for work or just day to day life.

Free Clothing from Thread Together
Thread Together will be distributing free, quality new clothing for men and women. Their mission is to restore dignity and hope through clothing, because everyone deserves access to clean, appropriate clothes. It’s a great opportunity for clients needing everyday essentials, or something warm for winter. Footwear is also available by request.

Laundry Services by Orange Sky
Orange Sky will be on site providing free laundry services and friendly conversation. Their mobile laundry vans are designed to help those doing it tough to stay clean and connected. Clean clothes mean better health, more comfort, and a boost in confidence.

The ADRA Townsville Community Pantry will also be open, continuing our mission to support the community with food, connection, and care.
With all of these services available in one place, this event is designed to support the whole person in body, mind, and spirit.
