We’re hearing more stories from older persons who are being dismissed, blamed or treated harshly by their adult children — even when they’re providing constant emotional and practical support. This quieter form of elder abuse is becoming more common, and many women feel they can’t talk about it. As we prepare for WEAAD, we want to shine a light on these experiences and remind our community that respect, empathy, and connection matter at every age.
