Good afternoon everyone. It's been a long time since I've posted any images to this page.

This is one of the few cloud formations that passed by the Pinnacles region south of Townsville this afternoon.

Whilst they didn't deliver any rainfall to the Townsville region itself, it still made for a good photo opportunity nonetheless.

Good morning, welcome to Thursday the 16th of May 2019
It's currently 22.8°C degrees with the humidity at 74%, winds are S at 11km/h. Have a great day everyone.

Here's your Northern Queensland weather forecast.

Weather Situation

Ex-tropical cyclone Ann is moving to the west across the north of the Gulf of Carpentaria. A high pressure system will remain slow-moving near southeast Australia over the next few days and will extend a ridge along the east coast of Queensland. Onshore winds and showers will therefore continue along the east coast and adjacent inland over the next few days, more frequent about the Wet Tropics. Overnight temperatures will be several degrees above average across the state as coastal moisture is pushed inland.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday

A high to very high chance of showers about the northeast tropical coast. A medium chance of showers and the chance of a thunderstorm across the Peninsula north of about Coen. A slight chance of showers over the northern interior of the state. The slight to medium chance of a shower elsewhere about the east coast, increasing to a medium to high chance about the coast south of Bundaberg. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds, strong and gusty about the northeast coast.
