We are incredibly grateful to the amazing students from Ignatius Park College who have generously given up their time to support Brighter Lives and help make our Book Fair the best one yet!

From helping us pick up books from Willows to getting everything ready for the big weekend, their hard work and enthusiasm have made such a difference. 🙌

It is community support like this that helps bring our Book Fair to life, and we couldn’t do it without you!

The Blackhawks are coming to Willows for the Brighter Lives Townsville Book Fair!

Join us at Willows Shopping Centre near Aldi to meet the boys, read some books and support a great cause this Thursday 20 August from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

The countdown is officially on! 🎉 We can’t wait to welcome you to the Brighter Lives Book Fair at Willows Shopping Centre this Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 August from 8:30am.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has generously donated books. Your support has helped us bring thousands of books together for an incredible weekend of fundraising. ❤️

It's so much more than a game of golf! 💙
What might start as a great day on the golf course can have a lasting local impact on healthcare across North Queensland. ⛳️

Shine Lawyers Golf Day fundraised an incredible $26,000 last year! Thanks to the partnership between Brighter Lives and Shine Lawyers, Mindray patient monitors are now helping healthcare teams provide faster, more continuous monitoring for 600–800 patients every month.

During a recent visit to Palm Island, the Shine Lawyers team had the opportunity to see this equipment in action and hear directly from the healthcare staff about the difference it makes.

These monitors allow nurses and doctors to continuously monitor vital signs including heart rate and blood pressure, provide ECGs, and receive alerts when readings fall outside normal ranges, helping staff identify when a patient may be becoming unwell and respond sooner.

Most importantly, this equipment is helping bring better access to healthcare to rural and remote communities right here in North Queensland. 💙

We’re so grateful to Shine Lawyers for helping keep healthcare local and for seeing the value in supporting a local health charity as 100% of funds raised from the golf day go back into our community.

Thanks to your donations, a donor stem cell transplant is coming to Townsville! 👏🎉

Thank you to the Townsville Hospital and Health Service staff and Brighter Lives volunteers who helped bring this equipment here.

The Haematology department donated over $20,000 - thank you! They believe in this cause so much that they dug into their pockets and personally donated.

Thank you to the oncology ward and cancer centre staff who ran the bake sale, thank you to our volunteers who ran the sausage sizzle and sold raffle tickets and thank you to everyone who supported these fundraising activities.

Thank you to everyone who supported Brighter Day. You are the reason we will have a donor stem cell transplant service here in north Queensland. Thank you for giving where you live!
