A huge congratulations to the Northern Region's newest SES graduates, who completed their initial training yesterday! After three intensive weekends of training, we're excited to welcome recruits to our Bluewater, Magnetic Island, Thuringowa and Townsville Groups.

Another busy weekend for our Unit, with members sharing helpful tips with students and the public at the Rotary NQ Field Days, conducting maintenance activities at our HQ building, and undertaking Fit for Role assessments. There's always something to do but from the smiles on everyone's faces (even when they're working hard!), it's clear our volunteers love doing what they do 😊

Several Northern Region members (and one former member) were celebrated at the Northern Region Awards ceremony last Friday night, for their significant service to Qld SES. Meritorious Service Medal or National Medal awards were presented to following Townsville Unit members:
🧡 Daryl Camp (Townsville) - 35yr clasp for the MSM
🧡 Lindley Lollo (Bluewater) - 30yr clasp for the MSM
🧡 Courtenay Waters (Townsville) - 25yr clasps for the MSM and National Medal
🧡 Jen Werbeloff (formerly Townsville) - 10yr MSM
