Jigsaw puzzle pieces – Days for Girls
These thoughts came after the DFG Day at Wynnum. Yesterday. I came
away absolutely inspired and so proud to be a small part of the Days for
Girls venture. Our commitment to excellence and the camaraderie
formed was also inspirational.
It struck me that each one of us in our homes, groups, leadership teams
all around the world are like a tiny piece of a massive jig saw puzzle.
My small piece of work and assistance, whether it be sewing, pinning
pieces of material together, ironing, handling finances, expertise in
overlooking, fund raising etc. makes a huge difference. It has a huge
impact on that one girl or woman here in Australia and around the world.
The vision and possibilities of the future takes my breath away.
Have you ever seen a jigsaw puzzle with one piece missing? It spoils the
whole effect of the puzzle. You and I are just like those tiny pieces of a
huge jigsaw puzzle. Your presence, encouragement, advice and skills
make a HUGE difference. Your generosity in giving your time and
commitment are invaluable.
Thank you for being part of the larger picture of Days for Girls as you
complete those small tasks at home or in your group.
