Townsville Toy Library is a volunteer-operated toy library service for children 0-12 years.

🧸Opening Times - EVERY Tuesday and Saturday of the month from 9:30am-11am. The first Thursday of the month from 430pm-6pm
(normally closed for public holidays and long weekends)

🧸Membership - Join up any time. Family membership is $100/year or $80/6 months and entitles you to borrow toys and puzzles for up to one month for no extra cost.

Many of the toys available at the toy library are fantastic for parties or when having family or friends over. While we do our best to have all the toys easily displayed, some of our larger outdoor toys with multiple pieces only fit in the large bags. This doesnt mean they aren't just as fun and exciting!

There's some hidden treasures to be found with a quick check of the tag located at the top of the bag 🙂

We're joining Little Loops Exchange Townsville for their fill a bag event at the end of this month!

🛒 One of the best things about the Toy Library is browsing the shelves and picking exciting new toys to take home!

The kids love picking toys that interest and inspire them from the wide variety we have. We love to see the excitement on their faces when they spot a favourite 😍

Have a large collection of Woolworths Disney Ooshies? 🥰 Instead of letting those little characters sit forgotten in a drawer, why not turn them into the stars of your child’s play!

🏰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘅 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀
Build a huge magnetic-tile tower and add Ooshies as the characters living, climbing and exploring their magical castle!

🧱 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀
Create little homes, castles, shops or villages using wooden blocks, with the Ooshies becoming the residents. 🏠✨

🫧 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘀
Add Ooshies to rice, pasta, kinetic sand, playdough or other sensory materials and let little hands dig, find, sort and create imaginative worlds. 🌈

🎭 The possibilities are endless!
Use them for storytelling, small-world play, counting, colour matching, pretend play and so much more.

Sometimes the best play resources are the little things we already have at home or ones we can borrow from the Toy Library! 💚

Creative play isn’t just about making something fun - it helps children build important skills as they explore, experiment and express themselves.

These skills include fine motor development, Hand-Eye coordination, Sensory Development, Language and Communication Skills, Confidence and Independence.

💡𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗧𝗢𝗬 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧- 𝗞𝗜𝗗𝗬𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖 💡

The Kidywolf Kidyelec is an educational toy set designed for children ages 8 and older to learn about electricity and circuits through hands-on play.

Tool-Free Assembly: Uses simple clip-together connections safe for kids.
Progressive Difficulty: Allows children to build increasingly complex working circuits that light up, spin, or react to sensors.
Science and Play: Teaches real-world physics and technology concepts by letting kids test ideas and learn by doing.

We had these amazing sets at our STEM-tastic event and they have now joined the toy library 😀
