Honey & honeycomb is back in stock at North Shore Seafood co!

We have been asked a few times this month about why the honey varies in colour.

Each harvest is unique and no two will ever be exactly the same. Honey colour depends primarily on the source of nectar collected by the bees, along with seasonal timing, aging and processing methods.

The current darker honey is from a farm with fruit trees in the bee 🐝 flying range and includes lychees.

Our honey is raw and organic, it goes straight from the frames, spun and bottled. We do not heat treat or add anything to our honey. See the harvest processes here https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DuKmAMiX1/

Thanks to the legends like North Shore Seafood Co, local businesses and all our followers who support the boys little honey Beezness 🐝 🍯 We appreciate you all!

Sad day for Townsville bee keepers and honey lovers.
Varroa Mites have been found in Townsville hives and now the challenges begins to keep our hives mite free with constant testing and monitoring.

While honey producers and beekeepers have ways to treat varroa-infested hives, the bees themselves also have a few tricks up their sleeve.

Throw back to before choas hit and Leo had surgery for appendicitis! It hasn't been the school holidays we planned for but glad Leo is on the road to recovery ❤️‍🩹

Huge thanks to Paul and the team at Sunvale Meats for their ongoing support of Leo's Honey Beezness!

Sunvale Meats also support the amazing crew at Bistro Sol. We are super chuffed to see Leos honey featuring on their menu! Delicious food and highly recommend paying the Bistro Sol team a visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
