The perfect after school art class for that creative teen in your life!

This in person digital art class is all about giving you the tools and practice to draw, paint, create exactly what you want. You learn the how and why behind creating art. You don't have to have any experience with art or digital art to attend the class. With each term having a theme picked out by the students attending the class last term, you will get a chance to play with and learn a wide range of techniques, topics, and styles. Some previous term themes: landscapes, animals and combining them to create something new, portraits (both cartoon/anime, and more realistic style), brush creation, perspective/ alien city.

The term is formatted beginning with learning and practicing the main themes and techniques. The students then plan out a drawing/painting that they will work on for the remainder of the term using the skills that they learnt. Each lesson starts with a warmup to help warm up our drawing muscles and get into the mind set of creativity. Some examples: 5 min emoji warm up where you use 3 emojis as a prompt for what to draw. Another warmup where the students pick a brush/pen for the person next to them to draw with for 5 minutes.

Tuesdays 4.00 – 5.00pm commencing Tuesday the 28th April

Format:
8 x 1 hour weekly lessons followed by a 1 x 2 hour final lesson which includes a breakup party.

Want something creative and relaxing to do after work? This Adults Digital Art Class for you.

Learn the fundamentals of digital art in this fun, judgment-free digital art class right here in Townsville.

While learning your new digital art skills along side like minded, friendly people, you will have the opportunity to put them into action to create your own illustration to take home and enjoy.

Experience level: suitable for beginners and intermediate artists alike.

Dates: Thursdays the 30th July - 27th August

Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm

All Equipment provided

Food and drink are welcome. If you would like to bring something to share or for yourself, you're welcome to. No alcohol.

Tea and coffee are available.

If you would like to make a cuppa and socialise, doors are open from 5:20 pm. We will begin class promptly at 5:30 pm.

Townsville police have asked the public for help to find a 15-year-old girl missing from Burdell.
The girl (pictured) was last seen at an address in Sunhaven Boulevard around 8.20am Tuesday.
Police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age and medical condition.
Officers believe she may be in the Townsville area.
The girl is described as First Nations, of slim build, with long, multi coloured hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing black trousers and a black jacket with a white motif on the front.
Officers are appealing to the girl, or anyone with information that may assist in locating her, to contact police.
