North Australia improves the health and well-being of seriously ill children and their families through practical care programs.

Our vision is for all seriously ill children to live their healthiest lives. We believe that when a child is sick, the entire family needs comfort and support. We are there for families, helping them access the medical care and resources they need. Whether it's ensuring they have a place to stay close to the hospital, so they are mere moments away from their sick little one, providing the chance f

or the entire family to take a holiday far from hospital walls, supporting families to help get their child caught up on missed schooling due to serious illness, or making sure that they have everything they need during a hospital stay, we're devoted to improving the health and well-being of seriously ill children and their families through our many practical care programs. As the end of the financial year approaches, many of us are making decisions about where to give.

If you're considering a tax-deductible donation this year, we invite you to keep your impact local by supporting Ronald McDonald House North Australia.

Every dollar donated stays right here in our region, helping families from communities across North Australia stay close to their sick or injured child while they receive treatment away from home.

Last year alone, more than 18,000 families accessing medical care in Townsville and Mackay Hospitals, found comfort and support in our Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms. A place to sleep, shower, a hot meal and laundry facilities.

If a local cause is part of your EOFY plans, we'd be grateful to have your support before 30 June. You can make you secure tax-deductible donation at the below.

They did it! 🎉🏃‍♂️

A huge thank you to Adam and Donny at Star 106.3 Townsville for championing the Townsville Sign Marathon and a Half and rallying our community behind families staying with Ronald McDonald House North Australia.

We're so grateful to everyone who ran, cheered and donated along the way.

Thank you Pimlico State High School Nick Dametto Mayor of Townsville for you laps around the sign and positive vibes!

Our CEO Natalie was on site early to cheer on the runners 😄

A big thank you to young Kaitlyn who both ran a few laps but also generously donated $15 of her pocket money to Ronald McDonald House. Kaitlyn had previous stayed at Ronald McDonald House and wanted to give back.

Every dollar raised stays here in North Australia. Your ongoing support helps keep families together and close to the care they need, right here in our wonderful region. ❤️👏

Introducing a partnership that powers the heart of our mission.

We’re proud to announce our partnership with The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - a framework dedicated to empowering young people through service, skill-building, and real-world experience.

Through this partnership, young people completing their Duke of Ed Bronze, Silver or Gold will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our programs -developing confidence, compassion, and practical life skills along the way.

For young people, the Duke of Ed is more than a milestone - it’s a journey of growth. By volunteering with us, they gain hands-on experience, build resilience, and connect deeply with their community, all while making a tangible impact on families with seriously ill or injured children.

Christopher, a Duke of Ed achiever who has volunteered with us in Darwin for 2 years, is a powerful example of this in action. Christopher has supported families through volunteering at our Ronald McDonald Hospitality Cart at Darwin Hospital - offering refreshments, snacks, and small comforts during challenging days. But it’s his approach that truly stands out.

Through opportunities like this, those completing the Duke of Ed don’t just volunteer - they grow into confident, community-minded individuals.

Together, we’re strengthening our programs and shaping the next generation of community leaders ✨
