🌴 A place to rest, reconnect and be a family.

For families who have spent months navigating serious illness, long hospital stays or the loss of a child, a little time away can mean so much.

Our Ronald McDonald House Family Retreat in Palm Cove provides families with a place to rest and reconnect, supporting families for around 50 weeks of the year. With a waitlist of more than 12 months, the Ronald McDonald House Family Retreat in Palm Cove is highly sought after by families from all around the country.

We’re incredibly grateful to La-Z-Boy, a Ronald McDonald House national partner, for their ongoing support of families across Australia - and for their recent donation of a beautiful, very comfortable new couch for our Palm Cove Retreat.

It’s a simple addition that makes a big difference, helping families feel comfortable and at home while they take some much-needed time together.

Together, Help Our Little Heroes 2026 raised more than $100,000 for Ronald McDonald House North Australia.

That’s enough to cover 625 nights of accommodation for families travelling for medical care.

625 nights where families can stay close to their child.
625 nights with one less thing to worry about.
625 nights made possible by an incredible community showing up for our Little Heroes.

A big thank you to our friends at Run Port Douglas for showing up for North Australia families for the second year running! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Earlier this month, together, Run Port Douglas participants raised more than $2,000 to support families accessing Ronald McDonald House North Australia programs. 💙

Our Team Ronald McDonald House crew looked pretty fabulous in their new shirts - and we loved seeing Mark Beretta, Channel 7 Sunrise reporter and Run Port Douglas Event Ambassador, proudly sporting his Help Our Little Heroes cape!

With Run Port Douglas happening alongside our September Help Our Little Heroes campaign, it feels pretty fitting to celebrate the people who keep showing up for families year after year.

Because heroes aren’t always wearing capes. Sometimes they’re running, volunteering, fundraising - and simply showing up.

Mick, Lenore and Alisha made the trip into Mackay yesterday for a tour of the Ronald McDonald House facility and to proudly present the cheque on behalf of CQ Campdraft Inc.

Reflecting on the visit, Lenore shared:

There are so many people who played a part in achieving this incredible result — from the Stallion Owners and Bow Wow Welter competitors, to Davo’s Whips, and every purchaser and underbidder who got behind the Calcutta and Charity Auction.

We are incredibly proud to know that, through the generosity of our campdraft community, CQ Campdraft Inc. has been able to play a small part in supporting Ronald McDonald House and the families and children they care for throughout their journey.
